Macro-Friendly Nachos
Everyone loves nachos.
Nachos are delicious.
Nachos are heavenly.
Nachos are not a stepping stone towards most fitness goals.
Well, here is a recipe to make you smile - NACHOS THAT ARE RELATIVELY HEALTHY!!!
First off, when anything is homemade it is usually better for you. You know what you are putting in your body and there are no hidden ingredients.
Are you ready for this gem????
Macro-Friendly Nachos
150g sweet potato sliced as thin as you can without cutting yourself
75g hass avocado cubed
100g cherry tomatoes, cut in half
30 grams low fat shredded cheese (use half at a time)
Spices and lemon juice to taste
Preheat the oven to 450F, then start slicing the sweet potato
Place the sweet potatoes in one layer on a pan
Sprinkle with lemon juice and spices of choice
Place in the oven for approx 30-40 minutes (or until desired crispiness is reached)
Flip the slices halfway through and repeat the lemon and spices.
When ready, spread pieces on a plate, top with half the cheese, avocado and tomato.
Sprinkle with remaining cheese then either place the plate (if oven-safe) back in the oven to melt the cheese or microwave for 45-60 seconds.
