Did I succeed?

Well last year I wrote a blog post around this time detailing the goals I had for myself as I entered 2016.

I had high hopes.

I had succeeded in attaining every one of my goals from the previous year and was feeling invincible.

Well, I wasn't wrong to believe that I could achieve what I set out to do. But, I learned along the way that not reaching those goals in the allotted time was not a failure.

My basic 2016 goal was so well written I'm just going to copy and paste it:

I want to get stronger. I want to expand my fitness horizons. I want to try new things and be happy more often. I want to take care of myself and treat myself with the respect and honour that I deserve.

I certainly did those things!! Did I do them by hitting the individual items I proceeded to list? Not entirely. I'm not going to delve in to the individual goals because they're not important.

Completing my 200hr yoga teacher training, teaching Bootycamp and prepping for the show that didn't happen were some highlights of 2016!

I have learned so much about myself over the last year and overcome quite a few hurdles.

The fact of the matter is that as I enter 2017, my priorities have shifted.

Half of my focus is still on Mitzfitness as well as my personal fitness goals. The other half, however, is where it is needed - outside the scope of this blog. In time, I will write about it. But for now it has to be kept private.

I shared some specific goals on my Facebook page if you're curious!

What I will leave you with, Mitzfits, as this year comes to a close is this:

Figure out what and who make you happy. Make the time for that which makes you happy. Make the time for those who make you happy. Just BE happy.

There is no point in wasting precious moments on this earth in sadness, despair, fear, anger, etc.

Let go of the people and things that drain your energy. Spend time with people that lift your spirits.

Make the most of this life you are blessed with.

And remember, if I can be of help to you in any way along your journey - get in touch

Xoxo,

Mitzfitness
