New and improved?

March seems to be an incredibly jam-packed month in terms of changes and new beginnings.

Here's how:

  1. Left my super corporate job in the finance world that was making me unhappy for quite some time (unrelated to the conditions or type of work, I just changed as a person and wasn't happy to be doing that type of work in that type of environment anymore)

  2. Starting a new job in a totally different industry with a completely opposite office culture

  3. One of my best friends is embarking on a new chapter of her life by getting married this weekend and I am her maid of honour

  4. Moved in to a new apartment several weeks ago

  5. I finally moved my website over here to Wix

  6. Yoga teacher training continues to magically transform my life

Another little change that took place this month was my diet. I have been quite lax the past few months and have not been to the gym very much due to circumstance and lack of discipline. I purchased my MOH dress for the wedding back in December and didn't try it on again until about a week and a half ago. I guess I can't say I was that surprised when I tried it on and it was visibly tight on me.

That very evening I cooked and prepared meals for the next few days and since then I have not had any cheats whatsoever. I lost about 7 pounds (mostly water weight, I'm sure, as I cut out junk). Now, doing a mini cut like this is ok for such a short period of time but to do this longer term is not ideal. Not only does the dress fit better a week and a half later, I am proud to say I have not slipped up once (stared chocolate in the face this past weekend and didn't cave).

Bags of veggies to snack on, large salad to be paired with the oven baked tilapia below it, steak/sauteed mushroom/steamed broccoli, tilapia and steamed broccoli, oven-baked chicken breast/broccoli/cucumber, extra chicken breast, pre-washed mushrooms.

Bags of veggies to snack on, extra chicken breast, salad topped with chicken breast, chicken breast/red pepper/steamed broccoli, tilapia/red pepper/steamed broccoli, tilapia/steamed broccoli/mushrooms, chicken breast/sweet potato/steamed brocoli, salad to be paired with the extra chicken breast.

I am so motivated that I even brought food with me to Toronto for my bestie's wedding weekend!

Oatmeal/PB2/Protein, chicken breast/steamed broccoli/mushrooms, chicen breast/steamed broccoli/cherry tomatoes, salad topped with chicken breast

Tomorrow is the wedding and I can't wait to celebrate with them!

Here's to new beginnings, a new life for the newlyweds and a new outlook on life.

xoxo
